PROGRAMS

Food Sovereignty

We grow food sovereignty through gardens, food education, and hands-on programming rooted in traditional Indigenous foodways.

Everyone is welcome

Our programs are open to all community members who wish to learn and grow with us. The Hive is open to all entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, with Indigenous entrepreneurship at the center of our work.

From seed to table, together

We grow, harvest, and share traditional foods while teaching land care, preservation, and seasonal cooking. Youth, families, and elders learn side-by-side — restoring knowledge, health, and belonging.

What we grow

Our food sovereignty work includes:

Urban gardens

Developing community gardens where people grow, harvest, and learn together.

Hydroponics

Exploring hydroponic growing as another way to bring fresh food closer to home.

Seed preservation

Saving and caring for seeds so traditional foods can keep growing for generations.

Coming next: we are in the early stages of creating an Urban Seed Bank and Garden Project.

LEARN WITH US

Hands-on learning happens in our gardens, kitchens, and community spaces:

  • Seed to Table
  • Kitchen Teaching Series
  • Culture & Language Nights

RESOURCES

Food, land & seeds

Our Resource Hub gathers resources supporting food sovereignty — foodways, agriculture, gardening, seed stewardship, and land-based learning.

Grow with us

We have a consistent need for volunteers to help with our gardens, classes, and events. Schools and organizations can also bring garden and kitchen learning to their community.
